Born in Alicante, 15th February 1967, married, five children.

Business Administration Graduate by ICADE (Madrid), also attended the London Business School (Finance Program) and Stanford University (Advanced Management Course).

Started his professional career with Goldman Sachs in 1990 as a Financial Analyst in Mergers and Acquisitions in London. Between 1992 and 1997 worked with Bankers Trust (now Deutsche Bank) as the London-based Vice President/Head of Mergers and Acquisitions for Spain and Portugal.

Joined Telefonica in 1997 as Managing Director in charge of Ventures and Alliances, promoted to CEO of Antena 3 – where accomplished a highly successful operating and financial restructuring- between 1997-2000 and CEO of Telefonica Media 2000-2002. In this period was also non-Executive Chairman of Vía Digital (now Digital+), and non-executive Director of Onda Cero Radio, Endemol and Pearson´s Spanish quoted subsidiary Recoletos. He was a member of Telefonica´s Executive Committee.

Founded Palmera Capital y Servicios in 2002, to advise and to invest in high growth and/or high troubled private businesses. Between 2002 and 2012 was Chairman of quoted company Service Point, where led a successful build-up strategy to create one of the largest European Digital Printing groups. Was a non-executive founding Partner of financial services firm Arcano in 2003, non-Executive Chairman between 2005 and 2008 and Chairman of Arcano Capital Investment Management business. Currently Chairman & CEO of NK5, a privately-held investment manager.

Senior Advisor of CVC Capital Partners between 2002-2006 and ESADE Business School between 2006-2010. Currently, a non-executive director of La Información – Diario de Navarra, Noatum, Norfin and Uralita. Member Banco SabadellCAM´s and Havas Media´s Advisory Boards. Senior Advisor of Anchorage Capital Europe since September 2012.

Elected Young Global Leader by The World Economic Forum in 2005.
